A Clothes Peg Cowboy

For a little art project, I decided to create a little figure from wooden clothes pegs. I got the idea from here. I did a little cowboy man. Now I'm going to explain to you how you can do your own. It's very easy. You can vary the colours, you don't even have to do a cowboy.

What you need:
-Wooden clothes peg
-Paints + Paintbrush
-Coloured cardboard (for hat)
-Super glue, or wood glue
-Compass

Instructions:
1. Take apart the clothes peg, meaning that you take away the metal bar, so you end up with just two pieces of wood.
2. Glue these two together as they should look like normally.
3. With the glue, try to cover up the little hole (behind the bigger one) as it will make the painting difficult.
4. While the glue is drying, trace a peg onto paper and plan out what you will paint.
5. As soon as the glue is mostly dry, and the peg doesn't come apart, draw with a pencil the rough lines of clothes and eyes.
6. Start from the top and work your way down. If your person has multiple layers of clothing, to add a realistic effect, paint them all one by one, one top of each other just as they would be in real life.
7. While you wait for your paint to dry, measure the height and width of the top of the peg, and cut out a little rectangle in the coloured cardboard.
8. Using a compass, draw a circle around the rectangle and cut it out.
9. When the paint is dry, put his/her hat on, and admire your little cowboy.
